Perimenopause and Menopause

There are a number of changes that women experience who are either beginning menopause or experiencing menopause, including emotional and physical changes. Counselling helps women to understand and cope with these changes as well as welcome and embrace this new stage of their lives.

Women will learn about the emotional and physical changes associated with menopause, such as irregular periods, hot flashes, trouble sleeping or insomnia, mood swings, irritable, depressed, worried, headaches, heart palpitations, memory loss, difficulty concentrating and vaginal dryness. Women will have a safe and supportive environment to discuss the impact of these changes on their lives.

How Counselling Can Help With Perimenopause and Menopause

Counselling will explore and help women find the positive aspects to this stage in their lives. In addition, counselling will explore treatment options such as hormone replacement therapy, vitamins or herbs, memory exercises, and additional resources.
